Thursday and Friday April 18th and 19th
MINI of El Paso will be hosting a Spring Cleaning event and Maintenance Workshops. Go by and check it out! Full details are available on MINI of El Paso Website.

Sunday April 21st
Rally/Picnic/Grilling at Aguirre Springs

We will be hosting our monthly rally this month on Sunday April 21 to the Oregon Mountains (Aguirre Springs) by Las Cruces. Our morning meet up spot will be at the Starbucks located in the parking lot of the Outlet Mall, 7049 S Desert Blvd, El Paso, TX, at 9:00am. We will depart out on our journey at 10:00am and head to the re-group location in Las Cruces using Highway 28. Our re-group location in Las Cruses will be the Albertsons on Main St. by N. Solano, 2501 N Main St, Las Cruces, NM, where we will also meet up with any of our Las Cruses minions. We should arrive at about 10:45am and depart on the rest of our journey by 11:15am. We will then head up to Aguirre Springs National Park using Highway 70 and we should arrive to Aguirre Springs at about 11:45am. There is a ranger station off to the right side of the road just before we get into Aguirre Springs where we will have to check in and pay $5.00 per vehicle. I would like to get groups of volunteers to bring items to complete the cookout such as if some people could volunteer to bring drinks, another group to bring chips, another group to bring napkins and plates, another group buns and finally a group to bring hotdogs and burger patties. If you could message Joel on Facebook, or email him santanaept@gmail.com so I can start a list of who is bringing what I would greatly appericiate that and again I’m only asking if you can volunteer to bring something. Hope to see as many minions as possible for this one. Motor On!!

As always, this event is open to all MINI and Classic MINI owners in and around El Paso and Las Cruces.  Hope to see you there!

Our “Third Sundays” Adventure took us from El Paso to Las Cruces, Hatch NM and a quick run up to Hillsboro. There were 16 MINIs in all. It was great to see everyone again and we’re always happy to have our buddies from LC join us. Here’s a few pics from the day.

With the help of the El Paso Fire Department, A few Texas State Troopers and a couple extra cars from MINI of El Paso, we got Santa to his destination! Santa was able to help nearly 300 kids this morning! Thanks to all who donated and thanks to everyone that came out today!

In support of the Healing Lives Toy Drive, epMINIs and MINI of El Paso will be escorting Santa to the Toy Distribution site.

The meet up will be this Sunday, December 23rd in the Hanks High School Parking Lot.  The address is 2001 Lee Trevino. Meet up time starts at 9:30 am.  We won’t be milling about for too long. We need to get Santa to the Alivio Health Center at 1331 N Lee Trevino Dr. a little before 10:30 am

Hope you have some time to join us and feel free to “Christmas-Up” your MINI for the day!

This past weekend MINI of El Paso hosted our Toy Drive to benefit the Healing Lives Charity. We must have filled the barrel at least 5 times over by the time the day was done. Thanks again to MINI of El Paso for being great hosts, offering a fantastic lunch and a fun raffle for all who attend. And thanks goes out to the Cohesion Car club for their generosity as well!

If you were unable to attend and would still like to donate, you can drop your toys off at MINI of El Paso, Planet Fitness or Alivio Health Centers from now through December 20th. Locations were posted earlier this month. This is a link to those details.

Wrap Volunteers

Toys have been collected from Kaplan College, and Hanks High School as well. Beginning today, Natalia Morales is seeking volunteers to help wrap up the gifts and prepare for distribution on Sunday the 23rd. Wrapping will take place everyday starting at 4 pm at the Gateway Alivio Health Center. Volunteers should bring a roll of wrapping paper, scissors and tape. And if you attend a YISD school and need service hours for graduation, this is a perfect opportunity to get some volunteer hours!

Santa Rally!

The toys will be distributed on Sunday December 23rd. We will need MINI’s to help escort Santa to the distribution site. Meet up will be at approximately 10 am on the east side of town. Meet up point will be published later this week once we confirm the location!

Healing Lives Toy Drive: NOW through Dec. 20th 2012

This year, epMINIs is helping Healing Lives collect toys for the less fortunate children in El Paso.  Representatives from the Healing Lives organization have worked with our area schools to identify children and families that could use a little help this Christmas.

epMINIs would like to ask our community to assist in this Toy-Raiser and help put a an extra smile on some families faces this Christmas.

If you can, please donate a new, unwrapped toy to one of the Healing Lives donation sites set up around town.  Toys are being accepted through December 20th.  We thank you in advance for your generosity!

Itinerary For Sundays Meet up and Drive (11/18/2012)

On Sunday November 18th, 2012-epMINIs and it MINIons will have a meetup and cruise. We will start at Kinely’s Coffe and Tea and make our way to the Luna Rossa Winery & Pizzeria just past Old Mesilla. Kids are welcome!

First Meetup Point Starting at 8:30 AM

Kinley’s House Coffee & Tea is located at 2231 N Mesa St, El Paso, TX 79902.  We will start meeting up at 8:30 am and there will be plenty of time for coffee & or breakfast if you so choose.  Kinley himself is a great supporter of ours and will be on hand to help with parking.  Please return the favor and thank Mr. Kinley Pon for letting us invade his parking lot by purchasing some coffee and or breakfast! Second Meetup Point Starting around 10:30 am

After the meet and greet at Kinley’s, we will make our way to the Outlet Shoppes on 7051 S Desert Blvd, Canutillo, TX 79835.  You all know the place!  We’ll use the parking lot located near the south of the buildings to regroup and line up for the cruise.

 

Destination Luna Rossa Winery & Pizzeria

Luna Rossa is located at 1321 Avenida de Mesilla, Las Cruces NM 88005. This is just before Highway 28 Intersects with 1-10 in Las Cruces. We will get there via 28.  Hopefully the pecan trees haven’t lost all of their leaves yet.  Luna Rossa expects us between 11:30 and noon.

The lack of pictures posted today was on account of the old philosophy of “Buckle up and Hold on, this is going to be Epic!” There was no room for error today as we hit some serious twisties and RPM’s! The skies were clear, the roads were smooth and our MINI’s couldn’t have done a better job.  Hope everyone had a good time and again, thanks to Joel for routing and Corrina for letting Joel take her MINI out on another Adventure!

Sunday Drive! Sept 30th 2012

This Sunday, September 30th we plan on cruising Sunspot Highway just south of Cloudcroft, NM.  This highway is forrest and twisties.  A great way to spend a Sunday!  (The refs suck right now anyway, so get off the couch Sunday and go for a DRIVE!)

Morning Meet Spot-Start at 8:30

We will meet at the McDonalds/Chevron gas station on the coner of McCombs and US54 at 8:30am.

Depart 9:30 AM

We will depart no later than 9:30am to Alamagordo NM our next re-group spot.

When we get to Alamogordo we will re-group at the 7 Eleven gas station off US 70 in between Cottonwood Dr. and Glacier Dr.

Once in Cloudcroft, We will stop at the turn off in Cloudcroft from James Canyon HWY right before we hit Cox Canyon HWY. At the Junction where Cox Canyon (rd 65) becomes Sunspot HWY (rd 63) we will leave Cox Canyon and follow Sunspot (63) straight to Timberon. Please review the image to familiarize yourself with the turnoff to Sunspot.

Next MINI Cooper Adventure is Sunday August 19th!

The Open road beckons once again!  A new adventure is being organized and all MINI and Classic Mini owners are invited!  This next adventure will be on Sunday, August 19th!  We will start the day with a meetup at 9 am at the new Starbucks in the parking lot of the Outlet Shoppes of El Paso.  We will be cruising up Highway 28 to Las Cruces, NM then cut over to Highway 70 for our picnic at Aguirre Springs.

MEET: 9 am

AT:  7051 S Desert Blvd Canutillo, TX 79835-8557

ON: Sunday August 19th

LEAVE: 10 am

BRING: Your MINI, $3 park entry and Picnic lunch for you and your car occupants

We will also have a few epMINIs Badge Magnets for sale and samples of the Car Magnets as well! Route info will be posted later in the week!
